PAR Technology Subsidiary Announces Communication Integration With Carrier? Transport Refrigeration Systems

New Hartford, NY—December 13, 2006 - In a major step toward enhancing its logistics tracking and monitoring capabilities, PAR Government Systems Corporation (PGSC), a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE: PTC), today announced that the Company’s PAR Logistics Management Systems (LMS) segment has formed an agreement with the Carrier Transicold Division of Carrier Corporation. LMS provides tracking technology and monitoring capabilities to the logistics and shipping industries; Carrier Transicold is a leading supplier of trailer and container refrigeration systems to the logistics and shipping industries.

PAR’s Refrigerated Trailer Tracking system provides essential information on a refrigerated trailer’s status, location, temperature, fuel levels, battery, and history. Cold chain stakeholders utilize this information to provide the most reliable and protected services to shippers of perishable commodities. The arrangement with Carrier allows PAR LMS to use its tracking/monitoring technology for the purpose of extracting and transmitting pertinent data remotely to end-users from truck trailer equipment.

The agreement is the first of its kind for PAR LMS. PAR LMS will continue to independently serve the tracking and communications needs of their respective federal and global account customers.

The agreement broadens PAR’s ability to offer a complete tracking/monitoring system to its customers and expands the Company’s presence in the United States and across North America . .
